The fourth season of Auction Hunters will debut with back to back episodes on Wednesday January 30th, 2013. Apparently the new show is about Allen and Ton buying storage units and then reselling the contents at their new "Haff Ton Pawn Shop." A reality show about a pawn shop? How ever did they come up with such a unique idea? ::) At least the name of the shop is creative, I can't say the same about the concept. The guys have a new shop employee named "Big Sis," a black lady in her late 30's that dresses and wears her hair like a boy. :-\

No need to start being prejudice around here.

I was just stating a fact. She is black. I would have used the term African American but I'm not PC and chances are she wasn't born in Africa.

Hmmm, I was under the impression that pawn shops are highly regulated by the state do to how easy it would be for someone to buy and sell stolen goods and use the business as a money laundering joint. So these guys are going to bring inventory in from storage auctions and mix it with their pawned inventory?
Anyone have any experience with this business model? It sounds like a paperwork nightmare properly accounting for the inventory purchased through storage auctions and the inventory brought in on pawn, and making sure the government gets thier fare share of all the revenue.
Just seems to me if you wanted to do this, the safe and easy thing would be to have a pawn shop AND have a re-sale shop.

I'd like to find out where this pawn shop is located and whether Ton & Allen are the legitimate owners. I have a feeling that the producers rented an existing pawn shop or staged a new location for the show. If they are the legitimate owners of a legitimate pawn shop, chances are they won't participate in the day to day operations.

Two new episodes this Wednesday. Can't wait to see all the fake crap they find. ;)

This should be as interesting as that indoor shipping container episode they did last year.

I'm glad to see that they stepped things up this season. Now instead of a $10,000 profit on a 2K locker, they make $20,000. :-[

The storefront is a fake. They take the signs down when the video crew leaves.
