Big sis ... apparently she passed away. Tried to find out what happened but no info out there.
Update: Before the cause of death was released, some people speculated that Robins death may have been drug related or suicide. Robin passed away from cancer.

Considering the lack of information regarding her death, in my experience this tends to mean it was a suicide. But that's just my opinion and I have no confirmation of that at this time.

I'm sure the details will come out soon. I don't see how the circumstances of a death of a cast member on a show as popular as Auction Hunters could be kept quiet.

I agree, suicide or drug related. Can't think of another reason to be so vague.

Here is the really fascinating stuff we dug up today:
Robin Nomik Matte (Big Sis's name) is a registered business name. It was registered by Professionally Speaking, Inc., a Milwaukee telemarketing company. Why is any of this important? Because it suggests that Robin used a stage name to protect her privacy, and that real information about her life and death is elsewhere under a different name. This is just speculation, of course, but it would make sense. Then again, it could all be a huge coincidence...but considering the specificity of the name and its location, that seems pretty unlikely.
That does raise the question of why in the world you would run an obituary under your stage name. I honestly don't know whether that's a common practice among celebrity types or not.
According to her Facebook, prior to joining up with the Auction Hunters team in 2013, it would seem that Robin was a stand-up comedian working under the name "Matte." The websites for her company are dead links, but you can still spot a profile on:
Stik.com/p/other+professional+services/wisconsin.milwaukee/p/matte.matte1 as well as browse several fliers for stand-up comedy she'd done at the Milwaukee Club Timbuktu.
Just for the heck of it, we tossed a message at a person who we're 99% positive is Robin Matte's real sister, inviting her to clear the air/do an interview that will shut down any wild speculation re: cause of death. Not at all sure that she'll receive or respond, but I'll let you know if she does.

A couple of people left comments on the article above saying that they read it on the funeral home website. Not sure if they were referring to the website listed above.

I am robin's sister. Please contact me regarding Robin's death... She did not kill herself.

I spoke with Robin's sister Lucinda a little while ago and she asked me to reiterate the fact that Robin's death was not drug related or suicide. Robin died from cancer. We're in the process of interviewing Lucinda so we can honor Robin properly. I'll post a link to the article once it's live.

There was one other guy that passed away from the show too wasn't it? The big Ramone looking dude who's always wearing really tight pants and throwing money at everyone? He committed suicide. Big shame. Apparently he was also having some sort of drug related proceedings against him.
