No your not.

Just Kidding.

Why does everyone assume that if you live in Texas you own a frickin oil well and you wear a giant belt buckle.

The only time you will see us wearing western wear is if we are going to the rodeo or to a country music club. I would say less that 5% of the population wear western wear regularly.

lol, I dont even wear that gear even then. I worked the Rodeo at Reliant Park back in 2004, I refuse to wear it even then.

The only good thing about western wear is that women love it.

Correction, I love those tight jeans on a woman. But damn it can be a pain to take it off of them. :)

Meanwhile, back at the topic originally posted:

3rd quarter start means sometime in July, Aug, Sept.

Here's a cut and paste from the webpage Hutch provided above:

Storage Wars: Dallas - Premieres 3Q 2011
A&E’s top-rated nonfiction franchise is heading to Dallas, Texas where the units, bankrolls, and buyers are bigger. Following four Dallas storage unit hunters, this series has all the intrigue of the original “Storage Wars” in a landscape chock-full of cowboys and oil tycoons. “Storage Wars: Dallas” is produced by Original Productions, a FremantleMedia Company for A&E Network.  Executive producers are Thom Beers and Philip D. Segal.  Jeff Conroy is co-executive producer.  A&E executive producers are David McKillop and Elaine Frontain Bryant.

While we are on the Dallas subject, I just want to let all of you know that our company is officially moving into the Dallas / Fort Worth market. It will take me at least two months to build the database, call the facilities and have the website built but I think it will be a good investment. I purchased the domain today and I will begin working on the project on Monday. It should be complete by 07/10/2011

I was with the So Cal cast - dont know who they have chosen for Dallas, but I know they are still looking for more people. I can send people to the casting agents (the real ones - lots of bs out there) if anybody is interested in applying. They do want real buyers, junkers etc. I will have been asked by Original Productions to help find new people in 4 different markets. I will have correct contact info on my website within a couple of days. Beware of BS.

My guess is unless you know a person personally that has been selected you wont know the truth until the real filming begins. They (OP) keep things very quiet. I do know the main producer was in Dallas this week at auctions watching buyers.

You would be surprised how hard they work to get real buyers and not posers - they really want real deal people. I dont think they care if it is a profession or a hobby - they just want to know you are real and know what you are doing...

We have an application portal up on our website: StorageTreasures.com

It would be cool to have someone from this site make it on the show. I know there are lots of people who dont like the idea of the show, but knowing all the buyers personally I can tell you they are happy to be on SW.

What do you have to loose? ...and if you are one of those non believers and you are not truly involved in some way that makes you eligible...sign up and see if they see through your game. Then report back.

Well, ya'll keep them in Dallas for awhile.  This may be the best time for me to be getting into the scene.  If they are in Dallas, and it is publisized, a lot of the tv hounds that want to do storage auctions will go to the sites they are at because of the hype.  Maybe that will take a lot of those type of new buyers away from the auctions over here in East Texas, and let me land my first auctions easier and cheaper.

Not likely, if anything it's going to bring more people out of the woodwork. These shows have effected every part of the country. You would be better off selling hot dogs and sodas at the auctions. ;)

East Texas is not Safe, I was just at an Auction in East Texas, Longview, The A&E staff with Storage Wars signed several bidders and the auctioneer while I was there, Rumor is they are already filming in Longview Tyler and Dallas. Most of the Bidders for the show are from Longview TX and so is the Auctioneer.

You must have went to one of the Walt Cade Auctions.  I figured they would have signed him up.  That sucks.  Oh well, maybe I can go to one of their auctions when they are filming, act a fool, and become famous!!!

Geez I wonder why they're happy to be on storage wars let it be perhaps that you pay them? I'm thinking so! But sure let's see the next storage wars you come out with maybe I'll put my name and I don't expect anything because you're looking for people who are as fake as the Shows are.

Don't know if this says anything how the rest of the us feels, but one of the local sports radio personalities here did a segment about things your over with(run its coarse) and he said he is over the auction shows(along with the nfls pro bowl). Honestly think you will see things like all the spin offs disappear. I really think your going to see just SW Cali after this year. I imagine you may see numbers drop off mid summer.
