And it seems one of our main players is missing.
Where has member StorMe disappeared to?
His last post seems to be around mid to late August, 2013 as shown (in one instance) in the link below:
http://storageauctionforums.com/ebay/ebay-now-has-some-ways-for-sellers-to-get-negative-feedback-removed/msg29273/#msg29273
He is quoted in that and several other responses in a variety of threads, but his original posts in those and any other threads are gone. Also he does not appear in the member list.

Perhaps our fearless leader can share some insight. I have a few ideas myself, but they aren't fact-based like Travis' response might be. ;D ;D

Thanks for bringing that to my attention, this is really upsetting. It would seem counterproductive for a forum owner who was trying to grow a forum to delete content on that scale, wouldn't you agree? Perhaps this question should be redirected to a certain moderator.

Thanks for bringing it to your attention?
You mean I know more about what is going on in YOUR forum than you do?
I hope that's not the case. I wasn't suggesting that you (or anyone else) deleted that much content, but rather that he had left the forum of his own accord and having deleted himself, also deleted all his content.

You only have one, and he's GLOBAL. I doubt he would have deleted a member without consulting you, but if I'm wrong, I have to wonder why I am not gone!
Edit: Sorry Teacher. I forgot you were moderating too ! ;D

If you're referring to me I don't know anything about it, and no I didn't delete his account or any of his messages. I can only speculate that he deleted it himself for his own reasons.

You're my little forum savant ;D

I guess that's possible but I'm pretty sure the settings wont allow user to delete all of their content at once. They would have to delete each post one by one.

but if I'm wrong, I have to wonder why I am not gone!
"with power comes great responsibility" abuse it, shall not I. :)

I trust you. I guess StorMe sat there for 4 hours deleting all his posts. Oh well.

That sentence structure barely floated with a little green alien using it !

Yet it was structured accurately enough for you to recognize the parody.

Yes, Yoda would be proud.

I think it started with the following:
1) StorMe defended Travis against StorageTreasures posts by putting an avatar in his (StorMe's) place showing
little boy "Calvin" urinating on the logo from Storage Treasures. That didn't last long; it got removed one
way or the other.
2) Travis and StorMe had words about who knew more about running a website and getting the kind of coverage
one wanted from Google, people in general.
3) After those two things (within a couple of weeks) StorMe was gone. That's just a time frame...who did what
is up for grabs. My guess is StorMe left in a huff and a black "wife beater" shirt.
-
I'm hoping that's not the reason he left....but who knows?
A few months before that he sent me a PM and asked me to delete some posts about him that he felt were inappropriate.

Did you?
-
No, I didn't find the comments to be inappropriate, only critical. We all take criticism from other members. That's just the risk you take when you participate on a public forum. If the comments were indecent, I would have gladly removed them.
-
I suspect he was going through some personal stuff and wanted to remove any online conversations he had that may incriminate him. Probably not true, but would certainly add to the drama!

We are big on drama around here as nearly 99.9% of things to be said about buying storage auction lockers have been said more than once. ;D

Yah think!

Yep, that's why I said it. ;D

Ahh Man, StorMe is gone?! He never would take me up on that offer to run actions together since we are close enough. (geographically, before anyone gets any ideas).
-
I really liked StorMe....he will be missed. :'(

Apparently not, since MovieMan had to point it out that he was even gone. :P

Maybe he is taking a long break

You don't need to delete your account to take a break. I'd say he's not planning on coming back and is gone for good.
-
Maybe he is taking a long break
Yes, that's probably it. And he decided to take off all his old posts just to get a fresh start when he returns. ::)
Stranger things have happened, but I doubt it.
-
So, while I was looking at the logs I did find where he deleted each post one by one.
I really liked StorMe but this kind of reminds me of kids who say "I'm taking my toys and I'm going home."
-
Maybe he's coming back as his alter persona.. StorYou..

LOL
I know StorMe stayed up "All Night Long" deleting his posts.
