I had to meet a Craigslist buyer at my storage unit yesterday, and of course, my wife was out of town with my set of keys. I wanted to make the sale, so I decided to cut my disk lock. I brought my gigantic bolt cutter (that I found in a storage unit a few months back) and went at it. Either I'm not as strong as I used to be or these locks are getting tougher to cut. Took about 5 minutes and a lot of grunting to get through it.
In the back of her mind, I'm sure the poor lady was wondering if she was somehow an accomplice to a burglary.

Did she Buy said item?

Yeah she did.

Those disk locks are brutal to cut with bolt cutters, so I don't think it's you. Around here after breaking too many bolt cutters they no longer try. Now they only use a cut-off wheel on disk locks.

This was a heavy duty disc lock too. It body was just wide enough not to fit into the cutters. Once I did get a bite on it, I had to leverage the handle on the wall and push them closed. Won't try that again.

That's a good way to drop one of your buddies. :-\
