Title: How Do I Become An Auctioneer in NJ???? Need Advice!!
Post by: aflygirlnguy on February 07, 2014, 12:01:09 PM
Hello,

I have been currently exploring the field of auctioning. I have been to many storage auctions with my current employer who buys product for his store at auctions and I think I could do it myself maybe even better, I just need some guidance,
as i don't know where to start..... any and all advice would be appreciated even if its just a link to another site that could help me.

Thank You Much!

This should get you off to a good start: auctioneers(dot)org/education

I don't think you're required to have a license in New Jersey.

I think they are actually asking about getting started at auctions as a buyer, using the term auctioneer as one who goes to auctions rather than the one conducting the auction. If you read the whole post you can get that from the context. I could be wrong, just my interpretation. :)

Yeah, I noticed that as well. It was the title of the post that made me reply the way I did. Perhaps A.Fly can clarify this for us.
