Title: Aretha Franklin's old stuff from storage unit in Detroit
Post by: Wildfire21 on November 25, 2011, 08:58:12 AM
I'm still new to the storage auction game, and despite how many blogs, forum posts, and videos I've seen about famous and wealthy people just leaving their stuff behind, it still amazes me.

Check out the story from the NBC affiliate in Detroit about what soul legend Aretha Franklin left behind:

Good luck and hunting to all

I enjoyed reading the story, but I was more interested in this comment from someone else who had read it:

Typical didn't want to pay the bill for the rental so she stiffed them. Imagine that.

I know, you'd think she'd have shown them a bit more R-E-S-P-E-C-T to find out what it means to them.

Sorry guys I thought this was old news, I heard about this 2 months ago from the manager at extra space storage. Haven't read the article due to using an iPhone on that crappy webpage. I guess she is or has file a lawsuit.  I guess new owner also was offering a sweetheart deal to aretha which heard she had turned down.
