Title: Auction Packed on National Geographic Channel

Not exactly storage auctions, but related in that you will see a lot of items that we WISH we would find
in lockers.

The auctioneers are Savo Auctioneers (a family business) in Olyphant, PA.

Maybe some of the PA members here have seen their auction house.

Auction Packed (producers play...I would guess...on the expression "action packed.")

Program is running on the National Geo channel on cable and satellite.

Two episodes were on while I was working on the computer. I paid attention to the 2nd episode which featured Lionel trains, matchbox cars (in boxes) etc.  The first 69 lots (maybe 10 items per lot) grossed $1,000 according to the narrator.

Son takes over the auction and is selling "blow molds" Xmas molded lawn figures....I think 3 Thanksgiving figures went for $150.  At my local flea a blow mold santa (at Xmas time) might bring $10 but maybe I'm not pushing them enough at $100 !

One guy bought 8 matchbox cars and his competitor bought about 150. The auctioneer said he thought the gross total on the matchbox cars was around $4,000.

Interesting show...I think it's worth watching; the dollars they get for an item at auction may not be what we get when we sell (where-ever we sell), but still...something to look at for ideas.

Meanwhile, I am selling $20 Italian made stainless steel corkscrews for $1 a pop at the local flea market. I guess its what they say, Location, Location, Location!
