Title: Public Storage to auction off Dad's ashes
Post by: Travis on November 19, 2013, 09:50:53 PM
I love it how Public Storage never comments about auctions. Anyway, this is sort of a ridiculous story. It shouldn't have even made the news. Lady is about to lose storage unit which contains father's ashes/urn. If the storage manager asked the crowd in advance to return the urn, I think most buyers would be more than understanding.

That is is a stupid story.  I cannot think of an auction buyer that would not give it back.  Hell they probably would love to cherry pick some nice items and she can have all the personal stuff back.

I have seen some friends of mine get a Flag in a Triangle case of a fallen soldier.  That makes everyone sad and I know they have bent over backwards to get that back to the owners.  Actually I have seen two of those flags in the last month.

I've found the ashes of six different people in units I have bought over the years.  They ALL went back to the facility as "personals"!  My friend did stick his finger in grandma once though.  He was helping me clean out a locker and asked me why anybody would put ashes in a box.  I told him to close it up and spun it around and showed him the other end where it had her name and info on it........lol.......kinda creeped him out, but we got a good laugh out of it....... :D
