What would you all think about a rewards program? For example: $30 gift cards to Best Buy for the members who started the most new topics / posts in January.

Any other or better ideas? Would you participate?

neat idea but I would expect you would wind up with a lot of worthless posts

Yeah, I think we could address that specifically in the rules though.

First things first. Who was the winner for posting the MOST auction leads in the States area? I think that was to have been Dec 16th if I remember correctly.

Had one other person made a single post in that section, technically they would have been the winner. Unfortunately, no one participated and after 10 days, I took the ad down. Perhaps the storage auction resources by state section could be an area I offer an incentive to post in. Obviously, it would have to be something different because the last time it didn't work.

I really would appreciate y'all's (that's a southern word spelled & punctuated correctly) help in that section. I have completed a lot on my own but I can't do it all without you, there are just some things I'll never find on my own.

Well, that's not how I remember it (and I'm apparently the only one who even remembered the $100 offer at all) but given your answer, my answer to your question as to whether any one would be interested in doing the "rewards" thing is ....no. Thanks, but, no.

Bad idea, I too think it would be a magnet for junk posts.

Okay, well I'll scratch that idea off the list.

Does that mean you guy will help me with the state resources out of good will?  ;)

I thought it might be fun to have a contest to see who could buy the most storage units next year, but it would be real hard to varify anyones claims. I guess we could just use the honor system and not necessarily have the contest connected to a prize so there is less incentive to "fudge" the numbers.

Or maybe we could do a thread/contest for best find of the year (photo included)? One problem with that is the truly best finds probably need to be kept secret.  ;)

I can only think of two things but this gives me a good idea for a new topic.  ;)
