Bin Laden Killed!

I saw this photo on cnn today, it says there is no photos released by the senate, and any links counld be and are most liekly virus programs probobally inspired or made by terrorists..

As a former Vietnam Vet and a consumate patriot and believer in the American way (not necessarly the way any politicians run our country) I firmly believe that we either did kill him and bury him at sea within 24 hrs of his death (which was smart on so many levels) or we captured him and will be interogating him for a long time before he either dies or is put to death. In either scenario we win, they lose. My take is that if we did not capture or kill Bin Laden, his supporters would have him on international LIVE tv just to show the world that he is alive and embarrass the USA. They have not done that because they can't! We either killed or captured him and conspirousy theories be damned. Again, either way, killed or captured we win.

Does anyone really think that if we didn't have him (dead or alive) that the terroists wouldn't flaunt that to the world to further their own agenda and make the USA look bad? If you think they wouldn't you need to come buy a bridge or two from me...........

Ironman makes several good points and I would only add this:

I don't believe it would be in anyone's interest to lie about Bin Laden's death. That is, I don't believe the government (whether they were democrats or republicans) would say he was dead if he was alive.

The reason I say this is that IF he was captured alive and they said he was killed, there would be HELL to pay if (when) it later came out that they had been questioning him and had LIED about his death. If you lied about something like that, what ELSE would you lie about.

I think it's probably better to have him dead than alive because if he was captured alive we would all (especially the relatives of those killed on 9/11) have to go through the agony of seeing this criminal go through the process of a trial.
In my opinion he had his trial in that 40 minute raid and those seconds of finality when our guys took him down.

While we as a people can't really condone going in and taking out some one like Libya's leader, it's nice to know we do have the guts to go into Pakistan and take out Bin Laden. No kid gloves here when not letting Pakistan know we were coming...no doubt in my mind they would have let him know. Good job guys!

With this I would have to disagree, since it goes against everything this country is said to be. Now true enough, if he is shooting, (which was reported that he was), shoot to kill, that I can understand. But to put someone to death with out trial goes against everything we say we are. Innocent till proven guilty. And dont say we have him on film saying that yes he was responsible for 9/11 and so many other attacks. (I know he did, I watched that too), but how many criminals do we have that murdered someone, or mass murdered people here in the states, turn themselves in with a full confession, but still have a fair trial. What is fair for one man is fair for another, regardless of who they are.

But like I said, from how the reports go, our soldiers raided the place, there was a fire fight, Bin Laden was killed, seems to me like self defense.

Now to address what Movieman and Ironman are saying about the conspiracy theories. We have several times announced Bin Ladens Death, then say oh we didnt kill him. For all we know he was killed one of the previous times that we say he did die. I dont watch the news all to close, it is very depressing, but I do not ever remember Bin Laden say hahaha, you didnt kill me I am right here. Except for once, the first time the USA reported he was presumed dead. But the tape was proven that Bin Laden had that video pre-recorded, months before hand. So what are we really suppose to believe?

I truthfully believe we either killed him some time back, or he is still alive and being interrogated. That is where I stand on all of it.

I thought the news team said that the Pakistan forces helped? I am not 100% sure I read that.

Not the run of the mill criminals as they should be given due process at trial but criminls like Hitler, Gorman, Saddam, Osama and the like just need killin. Saddam was given a fair trial, as well as a live execution. Besides, The US Govt made Saddam, during the Reagan Administration. We gave him weapons, training and help to over throw the dictator of Irag of that time. The way I feel is the only reason we got in the war with Iraq is because he was no longer the Puppet of US Govt and for the Oil. (BTW my father was there in Desert Storm as well). Just like this last war, that stemmed off from 9/11. We invaded Iraq again on the assumptions that Saddam had nuclear, biological warfare, and was helping Bin Laden. Which was all false.

Well, you know Bin Laden knew his days were numbered. He probably recorded several videos which claim he is still alive. I would look for these be released by his followers some time in the next week or so.
