Title: Forum Login Timeout
Post by: MikeMilez on February 20, 2015, 09:32:47 PM
Is there anywhere I can change the timeout settings for my login? I have lost 3 pretty long posts already because when I hit submit, it asks me to login again. If I click back, my post is there, but before I can copy and save it all, the page refreshes again and it goes away. By the time I login, my post is gone and then I'm really not in the mood to re-write everything.

There is no timeout setting and making long posts does not log you out. I suspect the problem is with the page refresh setting in your browser. As an alternative (I do this too) for long posts type them up in something like MS-Word and when done just copy and paste it onto the webpage.

You can also install IE7Pro. It has a text saver feature that has saved my butt many times when a post of mine fails to post. I just go back and am able to retrieve everything I typed because of it, even if I had to close and restart my browser. Obviously as it's name implies, it's only for Internet Explorer.

When you login, select the "stay logged in" box and set for 99,999 minutes.

That did the trick. Thank you!
