Anyone doing anything special for Halloween? Costume parties, trick or treating with kids/grand kids, jumping out of the bushes with a hockey mask and a machete?

This had to be the lamest Halloween I've ever seen. Maybe it had something to do with it being a Friday night. We walked around for about an hour and a half and we probably only saw 100 kids the entire night. Not only that, we went down a few blocks where only two or three houses had their porch light on.
As a child, I remember a majority of the houses in my neighborhood participating. We used to fill up paper grocery bags and pillow cases. Last night, my daughter only got about 50 pieces of candy. Oh well, she's young enough to not know the difference.
Oh, and there was this weirdo that answered his door, didn't say anything and walked back in his house. He left the door open like he was going to get some candy or something. Never came back to the door. Strange.

Want to talk lame... I sat at home and did nothing. I wasn't feeling up to walking out with the kids, my youngest didn't want to go in the rain. Me and her stayed home and made cookies. Everyone I know was either at a party or out doing something. The cookies were nice though haha
