Title: How much is gas in your area?
Post by: Travis on January 08, 2015, 06:03:05 PM
In central Texas, we're at about $1.79 a gallon. HEB grocery stores (they're a Texas thing) have a deal where if you purchase an HEB gift card, you get an additional 10 cents off per gallon. I'm not a member of Sams Club, but I hear you get a discount on gas there too.

We're in Michigan and the station next door is $1.68 per gallon. Up here we have that same deal going on with Kroger stores 10 cent off per gallon up to 30 gallons.

It just dropped to $1.65 here...loving it. It feels like 2006 again!

At costco lately Ive been able to get gas for under $2. Something I've always done with auctions is always drive my hyundai to auctions and come back with a truck if need be. I go on a lot of these auctions where you follow the circuit around the whole day so if you dont wind up getting a unit you've driven all over the city and suburbs with a big truck wasting gas.

I think it has been hovering around 2 dollars per gallon for some time now.  It hasn’t been this cheap in quite some time.  A lot of people will be traveling by car this summer if gas the prices stay low.
