I don't do much scrapping of metal, but I could be interested in it if copper or stainless steel.
What are prices like in your area? I would guess it varies from state to state or even localities.

non magnetic stainless was 50 cents a pound last i checked
dirty copper 2.50 ish clean bright copper around $3
insulated wire around a buck
aluminum 45 cents ad a nickel if its siding or gutters
iron 10 cents
steel 8 cents

Thanks for that info. I posted about a stainless steel shell over a outdoor light timer that I got and one of the guys said the stainless could be worth as much as $15. I found that hard to beleive for the small quantity. The whole thing weights maybe 25 pounds but 23 pounds of that is transformer, etc. That would make the thing worth $1 if broken out. Hardly worth the effort involved.
Will wait for some other responses.
