Title: Anyone save diamonds?
Post by: Travis on November 20, 2014, 09:06:24 AM
Just wondering if anyone saves diamonds or other valuables they find in lockers. When I sell gold jewelry as scrap, I'll usually remove the diamonds and other gemstones. I just stick them in my safe and forget about them.

Whenever I find gold/diamonds ..etc in a unit if I can sell for scrap I sell up to the amount I paid for the room and then stick the rest in the safety deposit box.  I keep everything that isn't scrap.  Its my retirement fund.

My wifes engagement ring and wedding band both came out of units.  bought the rooms for $2,700 sold some high end watches for $4k.  Rings appraised at $12k.. just don't tell her though. :67:

haha, i'll sell them eventually. I don't take the out of the settings, i just put them all in a scrap jar basically until i decide to sell. I'm kinda waiting for gold to get a little bump before i sell again.

All we need is another government budget crisis or act of terrorism and gold will skyrocket. At least gas prices are down for now. Saw one station advertising $2.05 a gallon a week ago.
