Now THAT's a great locker ! (and especially for the price)

A buyer here in central California got an Ashley locker a couple of weeks ago, but paid $2300 for it....10 times what you paid. Haven't heard yet how it is pannning out.

Auction was in Minneapolis, crowd was in the upper 30's.  Unit was a 10X10 and from the door, all you could see was the couch's stacked on top of each other with the mattresses stacked on top of the couch's, and the big 55" tv blocked the rest of the view.  Only two guys were bidding, it was up to $225, I threw out my $230 bid and to my excitement I got it.

A good, educated, play and it paid off. Congratulations!

The tv scared off a lot of people in my opinion, it's a big bastard.  I heard some comments from some people in the crowd about how hard it would be to load the tv.  Well, to their disappointment the tv had rolling wheels underneath the base, so it was actually really easy to move.  Selling it may take some skill, it works just fine but it's 11 years old.  I haven't sold anything yet from this unit but I'm not too worried about it.

Anything you make on the tv will be gravy as you will be getting so much back from the smalls.

That was a nice score!  I'd love to find a locker that nice for that price right now!  A friend of mine bought a similar one last week, but he paid over $1400!  GOOD JOB!

Over time I know this locker will pay off, but I'm worried about the time it will take to find buyers for the higher end items.  The last unit I got, the "Dungeons and Dragons" unit I got for $5 (I made a topic on it if you were wondering) was great in the fact I got rid of 90% of the items within a week.  I lack a lot of space to store items, which I why I try to only buy one unit a month.

Anyone on here have trouble moving higher end furniture/items?  My dilemma is, do I hold out for a high price, or sell it at a quick price?  I have the couch/love seat on CList for $800.  In the 10 lockers I have bought, none of them had higher end items, so I guess I'm new to this aspect of the biz.

Perfect score. Keep up the good work.
There is plenty of good lockers out there. And when the price is right it gets even better.
