Title: Metal Milk Jug
Post by: Fayettenam Man on August 02, 2013, 05:28:05 PM
I found this metal milk jug in a unit I bought today of which I'll be posting a pic of later. It has been painted, heavy rust on top and bottom but no holes. Its about 3 ft tall, big for what it is I'd assume. Anyone have any experience with these and what I could expect to sell for?

My guess, in that condition, $10-20. If you restore it, $50-100.

Would make a cool ash tray.

I think as is, if you get a $20 offer, take it and run! It's not worth the cost of restoring.

You could always cut a hole in the lid and put padding around it. Then you could take it with you on camping trips.

I agree with Travis. There are upcycling opportunities here! Pad the top and turn it into a bar stool..

Looks like a lot of people on eBay are putting bright paint jobs with pictures of flowers or cows on them and asking $100+.

Well, not totally accurate, some are asking $30.  More importantly....here's what they are actually selling (or not selling for)....the completeds...

Thanks all. A 20 dollar bill seems accurate if not hopeful.
