Portophone - MFG Thomas Manufacturing Co

So this came from the last auction we got 2 units from. I haven't been able to find much information on it. Wondering you fine folks might point me in the direction of figuring out when it was made (my guess 1918-1920) and what I should be looking to get out of it...

I also have 5-7 of these some used others BRAND NEW! Some are plastic case some are in a leather case.

On the record player does it work? Or does the broken piece prevent that?

If working maybe $50 to $100 (in our market). If not maybe $50 to a collector.

but on the other hand have not seen anything that small (portable). See the large phonographs and they have really dropped in price from $500 to $250. Just to give you an idea.

Check the antique malls, they may know more or someone who collects them.

I would agree with the $25/$50 price point. IN THIS CONDITION! Restored could be considerably more.

It looks to me the condition is past restorable.

Have you seen what those cats on American Restoration can do?!? I don't think anything reaches to point of un-restorable. However on a cost/profit basis you may be right!

Well it looks like I am putting a deposit on a booth at an antique mall tomorrow. I'll price it at $75 and see what happens. Thank you for the opinions - it helps.
