Title: Vintage Music Equipment
Post by: Travis on February 13, 2013, 09:38:21 PM
Does anyone know what's hot in vintage music equipment right now? What's in demand and what's selling really well?

Vintage guitars are always in high demand. Electric guitars seem to have more interest than acoustic. Vintage recording equipment is really bustling, around here anyway. Old reel to reel recorders, mixing boards, etc. Vintage amps are good depending on the brand. Drums can be good depending on the condition and brand. Old Zildjian cymbals are getting a crap-ton of money, but that's typical of that brand.

With any vintage musical equipment you get out of a storage unit you are probably going to do well on. Finding anything in good shape, that is NOT a student model, you will probably make some money on. I picked a 1950s trumpet from an auction house for $50 and sold on Ebay for $400 so just about anything you find for under $50 you should be OK, but do your research first just to make sure!
