Title: New Free Storage Auction Schedule for the U.S. and Canada
Post by: Travis on October 23, 2014, 12:30:37 PM
Just wanted to let you guys know we've put the wheels in motion on a new international storage auction schedule. We've been working on a database which includes about 66,000 storage facilities across the U.S. and Canada. The database should be complete by 10/25/2014 and then we'll start on the coding. We hope to have it up and running by the end of November.

The auctions will be searchable by date, city and zip code. Location maps will be included. Auctions will be listed in a spreadsheet format which will allow you to print the entire page of auctions with one click of a button.

This service will be COMPLETELY free. No bait and switch or limited number of auctions you can view, like our competitor.

Since we're still in the development phase, if anyone has any suggestions for new features, just let me know. Also, if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

You might want to consider a French Canadian version of the webpages.

Can we expect 1-2 listings for the whole country? This is setting up to be a 'competition' against SUAL. But once again, this comes a couple years too late.

Actually, since you asked, albeit rudely, it will be the most advanced free storage auction schedule available. It will trump the schedule on Storage Treasures and it won't cost you a penny.

We're not trying to compete with SUAL, we're just creating a storage auction schedule for our user's benefit. The only thing we gain from this is more traffic and greater exposure to our online auctions. And I don't see how it's too late, people haven't stopped searching for storage auction information.

Just wanted to give you guys an update on the auction schedule. The project is coming along, but it's a lot more complicated than I anticipated. We're adding a lot of sophisticated features which take time to implement. Hopefully we'll have it up and running some time in December. I'll post another update when we near completion.

What, like sorting by date?  :19:

What, like sorting by date?

Sorting by date, zip, radius, city, favorites, geolocation, interactive maps, customizable pages for storage facilities which includes their address, phone number, website, email, photos, feedback, business hours, etc., turn by turn directions to the facility, printable pages, and a few surprise features. It's taken a lot of planning.
