Why do you think Craigslist doesn't allow you to post links to your online auctions?

Because if you want to advertise on their site then they want you to pay for it.

Um, okay. Craigslist allows you to advertise the merchandise you're selling for free. I just don't understand why they prevent you from posting a link to an eBay item you're selling. Perhaps they don't want traffic diverted to competing sites.

exactly, you are allowed to sell your items, not post a link so ebay can sell your items
