Does anyone use the barter section on Craigslist on a regular basis? Were you able to trade up or get the things you want or is it more trouble than it's worth?

It's more trouble than it's worth for people like us. For an individual it can be something positive assuming one has the time to make all of the deals.

I use it all the time.......usually end up with cash for my items, even though it's in that section, but get a good trade every once in a while.

Do you think I could turn a lawn mower into a Lambo?  ::)

Sure, all you need is a couple thousand pound press and the right form. That should get it!

I think that would turn a Lambo into a lawnmower.

i love the barter section. sure you get idiots offering you a toaster and a vhs player for your motorcycle but there's good deals to be had. what i like about barter is i may have an item with a lot of valu to someone else but its almost a throwaway item to me and vice versa with the item the other person has. you can workout a good deal basically giving up nothing and getting something great.

i used to make and sell beanbag aka cornhole toss games. it would cost me abuot $12 in supplies to make a game and at the time they didnt sell them in stores so i could sell for anywhere from $75- $200. I'd post in barter section i want tickets to concerts, sporting events, etc. alot of guys have company season tickets they pay nothing for which have no value to them if hty are going to game but are valuable to me if i want to attend or easy to resell. d

id normally get abouty 4 tickets so i could sell for anywhere from 100-200 and i picked them up for $12 worth of lumber and a half hour of my time if that. i got bon jovie tickets to take my gf to concert, lots of chicag bears tickets, sox, etc.

then stores started selling crap bulsa wood and palstic games for dirt cheap and the business went away
