Currently free listing and free buy it now on ebay
« on: February 27, 2011, 12:02:40 PM »
I'm pretty sure this is for all sellers. Ebay is currently doing $0 listing fees and add buy it now for free as well.

I like to take advantage of these weeks and list high dollar items. Other times you hate to list something for a few hundred bucks have it not sell and you still owe ebay $5 or so.

Take advantage of these free weeks where you can list for top dollar and not owe anything if it doesn't sell. Buy it now is also a nice thing to add that in normal times I never pay extra for.

Sorry but my opinion of ebay is. IT SUX. cheap people trying to buy stuff on the cheap. Plus shipping has gone thur the roof. counting the time it takes to list your stuff, the fees. the shipping cost. I never come out ahead. I'm still waiting on money from them. Rather sell at the fleamarket.

I just sold my bulletproof vest on Ebay today. i got $225.00 for it. And with free listing it helped a bit.
The last two weeks i have sold more and more on ebay.

Of course there are cheap people in there, but you also have the collectors in there, so if you have something that is worth something, you can hit jackpot on ebays as well.

I hate ebay as much as the next guy but in my opinion it's a necessary evil. Very few places you'll get that kidn of traffic and no matter how wierd the item is you can sell it on ebay.

That's the beauty of these free weeks. I never list expensive stuff on ebay b/c often times it just comes down to the right person who wants your item seeing it. Sucks to pay $5 in listing fees and have nobody bid and have to do that 3 times before you find a buyer.

These weeks its a win win situation for you. You don't pay anything to list your item up front pick whatever price you want if it dont sell you pay nothing.

I agree ebay has gotten really cheap, hard to get a decent buck for stuff but I have made some decent money off certain items.

Bose invisible wall speakers went for over $250, cookware you can sell pots and pans for $30 plus if they are decent brands, sold a 14k gold chain recently for over $150. Sometimes you gotta list a few times but thats why I do it on the free weeks.
