Title: Finally an eBay promo I can use....
Post by: Alias300 on August 01, 2013, 02:42:46 PM
This months promotion: No insertion, no final value fee!

Anyone get this, use this?   I haven't fully read all the small print.   Any catch to this promo?

I just think eBay is trying to get some sellers back. They pissed off enough of us where some are listing elsewhere.

Where is a good "Elsewhere"?

Craigslist and etsy for me.  EBid is getting popular but I haven't used yet.
OfferUp is cool.  People pay with paypal, people are registered.  Kind of a safer version of Craigslist.
Plus you know they will show since they've already paid.   Do need to be in a highly populated are tho...

Someone here turned me on to Listia also.
It's not great since you 'give away' items for points. Turn around and buy stuff with those points.
I don't list anything I could make money on but for those items that its to little money to meet someone for (CL) or ebay/paypal fee's will eat profit its 'okay'.   You know, those $1-$2 garge sale items or things destined for GoodWill.

I put up a Kenneth Cole compact case/lip stick holder that sells on ebay for $0.99 and between that and points you earn or signing up/listing/checking in/ect.  I got a $60 bottle of the cologne I wear.
