$75 a day WHAT THE ..........!!!!!

Is it heated, carpet, brake room, someone to run your booth for you to go have lunch?

We paid $3 for one spot.

If that is not for a "store booth" then either you got a typo or some serious inflation, price gouging, or something is going on.  I know Barnyard raised the prices on the vendors at the start of the year.  One day table spots are still the same at $12 for a covered 10x10 spot.

roughly the same sized spot at the bigger market that closed last year would have been $150

Ok - that makes a little more sense.  A 10x10 here is $12.  So for the 360 sq' you get I'd be paying 43.20 for the same type of square feet.  NY has a higher cost of living then south also.

I bet we all were thinking 10x10 spots when you said $75.

You would still have to do a bunch of business to justify $75 overhead PER day...

The Alameda, CA spot rate is $125 now (I believe); don't know the size.  One in Sacramento, CA is either $75 or $90 (I believe); don't know the size on this either, but I think both amount to 2 car parking spaces if I remember correctly.

Both locations tend toward older, antiquey items and they both have large population bases for customers.

Yes, these and the other high priced lots wouldn't be the place for those forum members accustomed to doing $50 to $75 at their local fleas....nor for me either.

this is it for me , theres another lower priced place with slightly smaller spots but its still $45 and they dont get the foot traffic, the other alternative is going to jersey where anything i saved on rent would be trashed in gas and bridge tolls (probably an extra hour in traffic on the way home to boot)
