How do you advertise your garage sales?
-
There is a local classifieds paper for our town I usually advertise in. I also post it on various local facebook selling groups. Finally I put up signs near my house to get impulse buyers.
-
Here is an example of how I run my garage sales ads.
-
Just put signs out when we are ready for people to come..
No need to do more, get tons of people.
One time we advertised it and we just got flooded, it was too much to handle, people parking everywhere, blocking the street, it was nuts.

Craigslist and signs

i only run maybe one every month or two. I go all out. newspaper, local free papers, craigslist bookoo, hand made signs etc. the more the better. if there are TOO many people you are doing it right. If you are COMPLAINING about too many people....I just dunno what to say about that :)

Problem is the police officers, if their are too many people they will shut you down.. As soon as the traffic you create, creates a road hazard, they will make you close it down.

Anyone ever advertise on the garage sale websites?

Anyone ever advertise on the garage sale websites?
No, I don't believe anyone uses them to find yard sales in my area.
