Have you ever caught anyone stealing at a garage sale?

I haven't caught anyone, but I am sure it happens, I have so many people at my sales it is hard to keep an eye on everything. I guess if they need it that bad to steal from a yard sale, they can have it.

i just keep any higher dollar small items near me. ive never seen anyone but it may hapen

These two 10 & 12 year old boys used to come to my garage sales with their parents. One day I had two pretty nice 35 mm cameras on on my table underneath my pop up canopy. While the boys were piling merchandise into bags and suitcases (this was normal because their parents bought in bulk) I noticed my cameras were gone. So when they were checking out, I went through everything carefully. Turns out, the boys were stuffing all kinds of valuable merchandise inside other items like clothing, jacket pockets, etc. Their parents probably put them up to it.

Yep, well at a flea market a few weeks ago.  Him and another local dealer was arguing over a few DVD s at another persons table.   He was saying that he bought the DVD s at the other table which was a lie. I over heard the whole thing, but the seller was busy with selling to others.  Upon my exiting I let the seller know loudly and clearly that "that dud is stealing your stuff".  I seem him pay for the DVDs.  He still sells there but I won't buy his stuff.
