Title: Are you low key when it comes to your cash?
Post by: Travis on January 31, 2014, 07:54:24 PM
When paying for a unit, do any of you go out of your way to make sure others don't see where you keep your money or how much money you have? For example, do you go to your car or the restroom and count out exactly how much you owe? Or does it not really bother you that people see how much money you have? Have you ever flaunted your cash to intimidate another buyer?

Definitely low key about cash. Would never flaunt it in any way. Actually have a friend who doesn't do storage auctions because many (don't know how many) years ago he had a friend who was followed home from an auction and killed in his own driveway for has wad of cash so.....yeah, keep the cash on the down low... At the auctions where payment is taken after the whole auction is over we often don't even take the cash out of the safe (yes safe) until time to pay. We don't buy very often so most of the time we don't need any cash, lol.

I usually let my assistant handle the cash at auctions...

I don't flaunt it, but I don't go out of my way to hide it either.
