This has to be the best MAN unit I have seen in years. If you live near DFW, this could be a major score. I see money everywhere!

I wonder what a racing engine from Summit Racing goes for these days?
-
Thanks for spreading the word. Not like there isnt enough competition already. :-[
Dick. :)

If it's already at 2 grand a week before the auction, I don't think posting it here is going to make much of a difference. They're going to bid it up 20% over high retail anyway.
-
I know. Just give'n ya sh*t. :)
We were looking at it and with out being able to see it in person, $2000 is pushing it.
All those boxes could be the crap they pulled. New parts are out racing around.
Pic's look like the block is ready for build so who knows, but I've seen plenty of cracked blocks being stored for some reason. Radiator perked my interest but, again, picture doesn't help much.
Leather jacket looks interesting.
I'm going to put my money on it going for.....???.......$2640+10%premium.
-
Keep in mind, that's a racing block and it looks like it's new in the plastic. The plastic may have been removed though because it looks like it as a compressor or alternator installed.
Wanna go in halfs with me? You take the block and I'll take everything else? LOL
-
What!? Are you kidding me?!
Engine is an easy $2000.
Furniture another easy $2000
Speaker is 3 bills and that ladder is another bill.....
......oh look at that! My cat just turned into a unicorn! MAN!, This is some good sh*t! Got it from the producers of Storage Wars if you guys want some! ;D

If I could put a worst case scenario, as is value on that block, I would be bidding on it. I would bet that with all the good stuff you can see, there is a lot more good stuff that you can't see. The owner of this unit had plenty of discretionary income...there's money everywhere I look.
However, I'm perplexed by the anomaly in the unit. This guy has an engine, tools, black leather sofas, construction equipment, auto parts and everything else a manly man would own, but in the back of the unit there is an unopened gift set from Bath & Body Works.

Yes, I know. I am one of those poor saps. Ahh, the single childless days....
-
Wow! Final price.....$2,805.00
There's a sucker born every minute!
-
Well, I was only off by $165.....
$3085.50 is over my risk budget. Perhaps if it was live and I could see quality of goods.....but not just going off pictures.
-
Well, it actually wasn't $2,805 the total was $3316.91 with tax and buyers premium.
-
Tax too? Dang. I just included premium.
Can't determine gas since who knows where thy are coming from but at least, from pictures, no dump fee's. Not that Fort Worths dump fee's are that much anyway......plus there transfer station has a "swap shop". You can just drop off used furniture or what ever and other can take.....all free.
Wish we had that.
-
I would have paid up to 2 grand just to see what else is in there. There's probably a brand new supercharger or some big ticket item hidden under blanket.
-
That engine is a big block........if the speed equipment is in the boxes and the block and heads are good....always the big 'if", potentially somebody just made a lot of money! Too bad we can't get a follow up like on the tv shows!
-
Well if there was a follow up like on the TV shows, the buyer would move a few things to discover a race car filled with antique guns.
-
Huh? How do you know it's a big block?
Phil
Look closely at the heads....the valves are staggered up and down.....it's a big block chevy. Small block would be a lot skinnier and the valves would all line up. Also, the valve covers have more hold down bolts than a small block, and the valve covers are a lot wider....the chrome valve covers shown are definitely for a big block also.
The big "if" is if that engine is any good. You can't tell from that picture. IF the engine is good, and IF all those speed parts are in those boxes, that was not a bad purchase. But, that's a lot of money to lay out there on a big IF!

Here is another.....
URL no longer active.
Who wants to open at $1000?.....just so you can put in for the title and have th peron come say Soooo THATS where i left it! Thanks! And drive off.
Or find its stolen.
I think the facility should put in for title before they auction......
Tho......we have the VIN and Lic# and location.......nothing stopping one of us from putting in for title! ;)
