For those of you who use your vehicle/trailer to move the storage units you buy, do you carry commercial auto insurance or just take your chances?

No.  I had a policy when I was doing autobody since I ws frequently driving others cars.  It covered just about any driving circumstance.  Though really I had it to cover my tools.  Covered if taken fom a car, my car, my house, their house, work.....

Dropped it because it was spendy and haven't been doing much that I'd need it.

Now I just have a $1million dollar Broad Coverage plan. It only covers other people or things.  (Injury, property loss.....).  It won't cover my stuff if stolen or damaged.

However, It will cover rentals and my stuff in the rental so I kinda have a commercial policy.
But I think if I did it a lot they would consider it a business, not a "hobby", and they'd deny coverage.
I really wouldn't hold my breath for payment anyway.  Policy says 'rentals and personal property' but I don't think they mean a moving truck.....
