I talked to a guy at the flea market today who told me about one of our cronies who made a big mistake when going to an auction out of town.
The guy apparently parked in a no parking zone (unknowingly) and when he came out from the auction he had a big fat parking ticket. Don't know what the penalty was but it's always a hundred plus anywhere around here. Heck a parking meter running out is $25 or so.

Reminded me of a story I heard a year or so ago about the guy who ran a stop sign. This was on a city street but turns out it is considered a county street (wtf) and the hiway patrol sits on a corner there and nabs people on a regular basis.
So much for the auction or flea profit if one of these jumps up !

What does parking in a 'no parking zone' or not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign have to do with auctions? These are driver errors that have nothing to do with where one is going or doing.

Anyone ever get a Parking Ticket while in an auction? Or get towed?
Does your auctions have parking or do you street park?
Who else puts vanillia extract in the egg dip for French toast?

The "dynamic" duo missed the implied aspect of ...."be carefull when parking at an unknown location while attending an auction. You might get a ticket and that could cut into your profits !"

I missed nothing of the sort. All I said was getting a ticket has nothing to do with being at an auction, that can happen anywhere.

True, but in the excitement of getting to an auction (or running late) it might be more likely that someone would make a mistake in either parking or running a stop sign etc. Of course we know that only you are so careful as to NOT make that kind of error...except maybe for maintaining the flow of traffic (even if over the speed limit) ! ;D
