How often to you run into lockers you think might have been setup by the facilty (in cahoots with a seller and maybe the auctioneer)?
I saw one the other day that I think fit the bill. Details are over here:

We have a chain of facilities around here that sets up lockers, they split locker contents to advertise large numbers of auctions to bring bigger crowds. They cover CRT TVs with blankets to try to add "mystery" to the locker. It's the most blatant tampering of lockers that I have ever seen or heard of.

are we talking about staging the contents , or faking the contents?

We just had a facility here that I'm pretty sure (no proof of course) had staged all the lockers. They hadn't had an auction in a year, and they advertised and had coffee, hot chocolate, and donuts, and it was like a big party. Every unit they opened had stuff sitting out of it's box in plain sight. Nobody I know stores their stuff like that....it would be one thing if it was just a single locker, but 7 lockers all by different owners...............I doubt it....... ::)

Sounds like 7 setups to me. I haven't seen that in my area and I hope I don't. :(

I have see it plenty of times, that is lockers being staged. Its easy to spot, locks already cut, nice items facing you, trash covered over. Here in Va. they can do what they want.
