Do you think they're motivating people to pay off their storage unit rent?
Before the shows ever aired, I suspect many people didn't believe 'their' unit would really ever go up for auction. Now that the shows are out and people see first hand that it happens, they now pay up and of course that cuts down on the number of units being auctioned off. Thoughts?

Can't offer any solid data, but it seems that more are being paid up. Seems that only 30 to 40% are left where it was 50 to 60% 6 months ago. Haven't been to an auction in some time where more than half of advertised units went up.

I think it makes perfect sense. I also think the T.V. shows are bringing more people to the auctions. In that case the lockers are sold way to expensive to make any real money. It definately has downfalls!!!

No I think it makes people loose there units. Or since people over pay a great way for renter to make money

Really? Havent noticed that! Anyone elese ???

I doubt it will make a difference when it comes to paying their rent on time. If they didn't pay then, I doubt they'll pay now....also, these shows don't contribute to those lockers lost to deaths/arrests/divorce/etc...

I'm sure the storage companies and the auctioneers aren't complaining!
