Spoke with a buddy of mine that handles U-Haul auctions and he told me that you'll never see a vehicle (that requires a title) at a U-Haul auction. Has something to do with them not wanting to get involved with all of the legal issues / paperwork.

That's cool.   I once installed hard wood floors in a VW bus.  Total pain-in-the.....
I'd hate to get a car that needs to be tiled......

Hilarious. The motor home I bought a few months ago had tile in it. It was all broken and chipped from the floor flexing.

FYI to future readers of this thread....

Travis modified his post for autocorrect mistake.   My post isn't as funny with he correction....not that it was all that funny to start with.

Did you fix that thing up at all or just sell it?

Paid $600. Put a new battery in it ($120). Paid someone to clean it out ($50). Hired a locksmith to make keys ($70). Paid a mechanic to inspect it ($50). Rented the space for a month ($90). Sold for $2,000 three weeks later. Not getting phone calls once an hour from tire kickers and people "looking to hit the road" (Priceless).

OK! So what do they do with abandoned vehicles?

I believe they have them towed off. Then, I guess the auto storage lot auctions them off after a certain period of time.
