Probably a noob question but how much does weather play into how many people show up for an auction? Theres two tomorrow that im going to and its supossed to thunder shower. Also since it snows where im at how does that effect people going to auctions? Would it deter the newbs or make them want to go even more? Any input would be great thanks.

Have never gone in the snow, but here when its rainy out the crowds are the same if not more! Everyone thinks what you are thinking that maybe no one will come out because of the weather! Usually not true!

Most the auctions i been to have been inside. Id guess if they are outdoor units prolly furniture units and filled units would be cheaper than usual

I think sometimes more people show up because they think others won't.

This spring we had an auction the day after major tornadoes went through our area. At least four towns had major damage and deaths. Well anyway, as all the regulars started to arrive you could see everybody giving each other that look like "what the hell are you doing here!"

Long of the short, same size crowd. funny in a surreal kind of way.

I can attest to this as well.  Every time it rains I see the biggest crowds.

People really seem bugged about crowds these days.  The only way a small crowd will happen is if there's a good bit of auctions going on sadly.

Yeah terrorbow, so much for the rainy weather arguement. Dumb bidders still abound.  Another auction, another day I go empty handed.  I know I am going to get one, but it is so hard to wait.  I would have had my first unit today if an idiot buyer wasn't there.

Your time will come acman. Ive bought 3 lkrs so far made a profit on all them. But its hard times sellin at flea markets ive noticed. Lost money today barely sold anything and the money made didnt cover my 5 dollar booth rent. Just make sure you have a good list of clientel before you buy a unit so you can unload fast. Ive learned that the best way for that is talk to vendors atflea matkets most specialize in certian areas. Plus talk to other bidders. I got a guy who buys furniture for a reasonable price then his buddy buys it at retail and sells it. Also went to sell to a guy off craigslist and he does garage every weekend and only asks for 10% commission and gets good, amount of people from the different ways he advertises. But like I said get everthing set up first before you buy makes this a tun easier.
