What type of merchandise sells well around Thanksgiving?

I would imagine that turkey/deep fryers sell well.

This week I've seen a lot of people asking for Christmas items. Decor, lights, etc. If you have any Dept. 56 or other collectible Christmas items, now's the time to dust it off and sell it!

I know guys that have 25 totes of Christmas stuff they've been saving throughout the year.

Most Christmas stuff in lockers is run of the mill, but there are the occasional finds !

The holidays are always good for those seldom used kitchen items.
Fish poachers and roasting pans.  Fancy platters and carving sets. Cheese trays/cutters.

Not that they bring big bucks but at least they sell.   I can't give away those inexpensive steel fish poachers except right at beginning of salmon season and the holidays......

Glasses and dishes. I display them right up front in the store. At least one dinning table every year. Christmas decorations. Coats, coats and lots more coats. Those are on a rack outside the front door.

Had a massive garage sale today (November 16), but surprisingly the Christmas stuff didn't really sell well. Even had a nice brand new artificial tree...nobody even asked for a price. I guess it's still a week or two too early.

I guess that is the thing, all year long I get christmas stuff and don't know what to do with it. Maybe I should get a shed and stock pile it all year long.  Until it's time to sell....
