Should i even waste my time with like 20 lbs?
-
YES, not long ago it was like $3.55 a lb, so that be $71. They do have different grades of copper, I don't know the details of that but it is still worth it.

i got $3 or so for bare and insulated was $1.15 couple days ago

Hmm. Not bad. Someone donated a suitcase full of copper wire to me last wk. Sold the suitcase itself for 10 but ive never recycled wireing before
-
So do u have to strip it first??
-
If it's insulated you will get less then if it is stripped. If you don't want to mess with it just take it in as is. Still make $20+ on it.
Scrapping for me is part of storage auctions. Anything that is metal and/or electronic and busted gets taken apart / scrapped as is.
