Title: whats the current price per lbs of copper wire?

YES, not long ago it was like $3.55 a lb,   so that be $71.     They do have different grades of copper, I don't know the details of that but it is still worth it.

i got $3 or so for bare and insulated was $1.15 couple days ago

Hmm. Not bad. Someone donated a suitcase full of copper wire to me last wk. Sold the suitcase itself for 10 but ive never recycled wireing before

If it's insulated you will get less then if it is stripped.  If you don't want to mess with it just take it in as is.  Still make $20+ on it.

Scrapping for me is part of storage auctions.  Anything that is metal and/or electronic and busted gets taken apart / scrapped as is.
