Title: Greetings from A2 MI

I'm Chris & I hope to start buying units' contents @ storage places soon. Attended an auction on the north side of Detroit last week. 1st was a double-garage unit that had been largely cleared out. A beat-up office chair, a newer, cheaper? rocking chair, a cooler with 2 beer cans on it, some Christmas & a few boxes. It went for $10 or $15. Then a "regular" unit that was PACKED. A stepper exercise machine, a pre-flat screen tv, a hutch & mattress set. Couldn't see much else (boxes, totes, tubs, etc.). I think it went for $150. Didn't bid on either but didn't plan to. Hoping to p/u extra $. Probably sell on CL. Donate the clothes & flotsam & jetsam to Sally Ann/Goodwill/etc.

Some clothes are have resale value, don't throw everything out.  I keep Shoes, Jackets, Jeans, Nice print t-shirts, etc.

BTW, are you attending Blairs auctions?  He really brings in the bids and is the most visible auctioneer in Michigan.  Try less advertised auctions(Ma and Pa places and Public Storage) for better luck.

Haven't been to a Blair's auction yet. It was an Extra Space Storage auction in Shelby Township. WAS going to check out their auction in Mount Clemens but arrived after it finished (on a schedule I was given by the manager where I store my trailer, it was SUPPOSED to start @ 10am but was actually held @ 9:30). Oh, well.

Well, if I find an autographed jersey or a wedding dress or a Michael Jackson-worn jacket or such, I'll keep those but I just don't really want to get into the clothing business. Laundering it to make sure I'm not infecting other clothes and worrying about infestations in my locker are things I don't care to deal with.

You'll change your tune when you need to break even on a locker or you find some nice clothing, I did!
