Title: Best way to sell DVD's?
Post by: treasurehunt on July 16, 2015, 10:57:05 PM
Ok, guys.  What have you found to be the best method of selling DVD's?  I have heard pawn shops, flea market, bulk on Craigslist, EBay, and even scanning them individually on Amazon.  Any thoughts/suggestions? I probably have over 400 DVD's from a unit.

Oh, and books, too!

the "sell dvds online" phone app will give you ten cents to fifty cents per dvd.  sometimes they go for more there if you have a box set ($14).

I hear they take their time getting the money to you.

Amazon is a good outlet, but apparently you have to be approved by Amazon to sell them.  You are also only allowed a certain amount of sales dollars as a "casual seller."  And I know Amazon charges fees. (who doesn't??)   I am patient and tend to travel the established routes with no time table.  Guess it depends on how quickly you wanted to turn-and-burn.

Good luck!

Here in Florida the auction house gets a dollar each.   Flea market people gets 4 or 5 dollars a pop.

There are various online platforms that take them in bulk but they usually pay you very little like a few cents for each dvd. I personally would prefer to sell them in person like in pawn shops or drop them off at a neighbor’s garage sale. With that many dvds you obtained from your storage unit, I bet there are at least some good titles.
