Wow...I found five auctions that are an hour away. Funny thing is I knew about that site but I kept getting spam from them and thought they weren't legit. I did have to go under each and every city in Washington to find auctions, but hey! I found some. Thanks  :)

welcome. I haven't gotten any spam yet, but I do opt out of "I want to be notified" button on everything I register with, with the exception of here... LOL
I found a nice legal notice website. Works for my area but when I try to look at other counties the list is nothing or very small. but works for me. Also our local paper has a notify me in the classified section of new legals with the word Auction.

I would also add to you notify keywords: sale and storage. Having those 3 keywords auction, sale, and storage should catch most all storage auction ads in the legals

Thanks Drew, I get everything happening in my neck of the woods, legally... LOL
Storage works best... On the legal notice I have eliminates the cars for sale.

Ours does say Lien to satisfy.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the undersigned intends to sell the person property described below To enforce a lien imposed on said property under The Florida Self Storage Act Statutes (Section 83.801-83.809). The undersigned will sell... Bla. bla.
Guess ever where is different.. : )

Still not much luck with those keywords. I've tried them in the past, but I think I just live in a crummy area for storage auctions. I went on craigslist and dug up two storage auctions under the "for sale/wanted" section after typing in "storage". Both were for U-Store and about an hour to an hour and a half away!

That's the thing. I'm just a ferry ride away from Seattle. I did get spoiled coming from San Diego where the auctions are pretty much everywhere.

go to auctionzip.com it's free and post where you are and that you want auctioneers to notify you on storage auctions. ALSO, there is a calendar of auctions on this site. It's all free

Are you associated with this site?   If so, better get to improving it.

I looked at my zipcode and gave it a 100 mile range and it came up with nothing.

As there are MANY within that range even next week, I call this an UNMITIGATED FAILURE.

But, that's just my opinion.

Three days later, Nov 27, 2011...

The sparefoot site listed above is no longer a source for auctions, but has magically turned into a site where you can locate storage facilities (that you might want to rent).  This obviously has next to nothing to do with the intent of these threads.

Why waste our time mr original poster ?

I've dropped Drew a note about this.

Edit: Double-checked the website in question and I forgot to put  on the /auctions last time I looked.

HOWEVER, when I did it correctly and put in zip code for San Francisco, CA no auctions came up, but two places where you could sell your merchandise came up....like thrift shops.

Never will understand why you guys don't get your sites fully functional before you start promoting them, and the intent of this website still is an affront to this discussion forum....IN MY OPINION.

I can't believe you asked this question. If you want to know why I can't believe it, some of my colleagues on this forum will be sure to answer you. I don't have the time or patience for it at the moment.
