When buying a storage unit online, how do you select a good unit? Do you have any tips for for people who've never purchased a storage unit online?

Ive only gotten a couple but the rule is the same ... bid on what you see.... especially if you are doing any kind of travelling for the room.

If you live on the west coast, don't bid on an east coast unit and vice-versa.

Unless of course you're bidding on one of our competitor's sites.   ;)  Kidding!

i've bought maybe a dozen online. Biggest thing is you cant smell them. automatically assume the furniture and clothing are mildewed. look for tools and other things that generally arent affected by moisture. also (in general) i find that the pictures usually do not do a unit justice. pay close attention to the size of the unit and try to figure out just how much they missed when taking the pictures.
