Good luck! I'm new too and one thing I learned pretty quick is that the local "competition" doesnt seem to care for new people.  There are alot of helpful people on this board though that have helped me alot.

75 was net before auction fees. I definately learned from it, and I have no plans to sell anything else there. I do have a small store close by that is offering me a booth for $100 per month for small items but does the larger items on consignment. We have several storage auctions coming up on thursday of this week. I'm ready to get back out there and learn some more.

This went for $75 in auction last night. That being said, I probably wont do the auction thing again. A couple of my other items didnt do what I expected.

Thanks very much for the info guys. I am going to put it in auction this weekend and see what comes of it.

Maybe so! I'd like to get in touch with him to see if he would mind giving me info on upcoming auctions. I've spent a few hours this week scouting them, but the earliest I've found so far is in early July. I'd like to find atleast one this weekend.

Thanks guys! I did have a guy look at it today that does estate sales. He told me that I could get from $75-$175 for it. I'm going to take your advice and put a new finish on it and see what I can get.

Can anyone tell me if this could have any value at all? It was in a unit with other furniture, and I have no idea as to if it could be a valuable antique, or just another night stand. I'm also considering taking it to an antique appraiser to have them check it out.

I got it for right at $100 actually, and it is mainly furniture, books, and small personal items. There is one small bed-side type cabinet that looks pretty old and I'm trying to find out if it could have some value. The total outcome is yet to be seen but it's hard to lose when you get it for that cheap. I'm just south of Memphis, so I'm trying to get more info on upcoming auctions there.

Hello, my name is Scott Medlin. My wife and I have been considering getting started with storage auctions for a few months now and went to our first one this weekend. We did purchase one unit and have been going through it today. I don't have any false hopes of becoming rich from this but I do believe that we can double our money if we bid correctly alot of the time. Any suggestions you can offer would be greatly appreciated!
