The data was gathered from the 5 largest cities in Texas. Male to female ratio varies 1-4 points in all cities.

Does that ratio, include ages? I think the min age to rent a locker is over 18, at this point the male/female ratio will dip in favor of female.  A lot more males serve our country then females.

We're about half way through the name analysis and so far the results are surprising. My original hypothesis was that gender wouldn't make a difference and that the results would be about equal. But so far, one gender is about 25% more likely to go into foreclosure.

Are you doing the analysis in a certain city? It'll be hard to make a global statement unless it was done based on regional data that includes many different data points from that region.

What's it Worth?? / Re: Flask/Shot Holder Etc

You can't even get $20 an ounce right now for sterling so 2 lbs would be $640 on the high end. Not $2000. One of us did our math wrong.

For some reason, I had 8 lbs flashing in my head

Real silver has a slight magnetic pull.

Get it tested at a we buy gold place or get a scratch kit from ebay.

2 lbs of silver will get you around 2k

You must be doing quite well to be able to put that kind of money on the back burner.  :PDT_Armataz_01_37:   #SAVEITFORARAINYDAY

Here's one of the trailer loads, each box is about 50 lbs.  Each box probably contains like 30k-60k peices.  I had to take it in three loads, I think this one is the second load. The first load had a big table in it, and the last load I remember stuffing the trailer with all the heavy duty plastic shelving on the top.

There was a lot of other items in the unit, I think I sold most the other contents for 2,200 ish. All I have left is the Body Jewelry, some shirts, some d-rings, and a lot plastic fastener pieces  (I sell a few every few days).

And I paid $100 bucks for it, I was offered 40k for all the body jewelry from this one guy, but he wanted me to owner finance it. I turned him down. I'll probably start working on moving this, once I get the BYU Donation thing finalized.

Thanks!

I'm currently working with BYU, to donate some artifacts and fine art to. I'm hoping for a 50k-100k write off on my taxes this year. It's a process, were trying to make it a 2014 transaction. They are paying for the appraisal, but it takes time. I'll share more details of the whole donation process, once you get the donation forum set up.

I had three really good scores back to back to back - Then 1 ****ty locker this year.  First time for me with three 10-100k + lockers in a row.

No worries, I use to make the mistake of tossing the tapes you can record on, thinking they were worthless..

The sell in less then a day on ebay at a $1 each, it's a fast turnaround. You don't have to wait or hold on to them..

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_from=R40&_nkw=used+vhs+tapes+blanks&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc

You make more off smaller lots, then bigger lots.  The larger the lot the more of a discount you have to give.

100 Recordable Tapes = Easy $50 bucks.

Magazines I'll shred for packing, but theirs only so much packing shred you need.  Some magazine's will sell, but most are trash.

I was told today a guy hit $8k in scrap copper in a 10x30 under tarps ... just filled to the brim.  Thats the closest I've heard of any "precious" metals in quite some time.

I got a locker filled with over a 2,000 lbs of stainless steel, in the form of body jewelry, I still haven't tried to sell it yet. That's one of my next projects..  Over 1 million individual pieces (I did count it all) - Which took a while, so many gauges, lengths, and variations.  Full retail I couldn't even guess the value, but the value factory direct from china is around 90 k.

If those VHS tapes are stuff the OWNER recorded on them, you'll get $1 each on ebay for them, just bundle them all together, people will record over them.  If they have movies like bought from wal-mart or blockbusters on them, you'll get around .30 - .40 cents each, just bundle them.

Don't dismiss those tapes, a lot of people just toss them, but they add up fast when there's a lot.

I wouldn't mind seeing a donation section..

There's lot to consider when you donate items.

Nope, 6 figures regular job, but only 5 doing storage lockers.

Same here, but I have a feeling this year I might beat my day job.
