That's why your told to keep it all on a USB flash drive.  Treat it like cash you keep at home.
The whole point is so it can't be traced.  Your TOR bundle and everything should be on external device....

In my trade (electrician) I often have to deal with wires that might or might not be live. Therefore, I have a voltage tester to test the wires myself before my hands go on them. Now if I touched the wires without checking them myself because someone told me they were dead, when in fact they weren't and I in turn got burnt, who's fault would it be?

Apples & Oranges.

If Travis bid on unit because picture showed a mattress HE *thought* was a king but really a twin....his bad.   But if your *told* its a king, facilities bad.  They should pay up.

If someone asks you to put in an outlet in kitchen, tells you wires have been run and up to code so you quote them $150 but you get there and wires are bad you don't run new wires for free, right?  You don't say: hey, you told me the wires were new but I should have known you'd lie to me so Ill wire it for free.

Ran into this all the time at the dealership.  You never say the brakes or tire are good, you say they still have X millimeters still on them.....you always give answers to make person make the assumption so your in the clear.

In Travis's case it would be something like:  large dinning table that can accommodate 6 people, dining chairs......

Never said six chairs were in there.  YOU assumed it.

Signed. Numbered. Cert of Authenticity.  Marked for sale at real price. Oh....and telling people they aren't fakes.   That's illegal.

eBay / Re: The 99 Cent Start

I've done it a few times on items that were gotten free.  But if its a picked item i mostly I start at my break even point.  Tho, gotta admit, I start some high if I kinda don't want to sell it.   Like, if someone is willing to pay over $150 for my 100+ yr old copper sauté pan, cool.   If not, I'd rather use it.....even tho I totally don't need it, have others that are better....I just like the history of it.

Craigslist / Re: Scam or real deal, opinions?
« on: November 21, 2013, 11:11:59 AM »
I'm currently unemployed and looking for ways to earn extra cash on the side. Anyway I answered an ad on Craigslist about selling items for someone on commission. Here's the email I received:

Hey Gromit.....if this deal sounds legit to you how about this?  Way better!   I was down in Columbia last week and forgot my bag!  It's really important to me.  I'll pay all expenses +$500 if you go down and get it.  Won't be much trouble to bring back.  It only weighs one kilo...       ;D

You sell, you collect money.  You send him money minus $100 and fees.  He never sends item.  Your on the hook.

You could be several items deep before you start to get complaints.

Now that's my kind of unit.   Unfortunately resell value of that sort of stuff isnt so good compared to retail but still a good score.    Check out your area for restaurant  supply houses.  They may want broken fridge for either parts or refurbish.

Hopefully all the 'parts' are new.  Those will bring prices closer to retail.....

I don't think $400 is to bad.

Yeah, $570.   I can just see it.  Get home, tired, throw it on chair....BAM!.....F*CK!   lol

The Treasure Chest / Re: Hundreds of WWII U.S. Navy Patches

Do "Army/Navy" stores even exist anymore?  I used to enjoy going to those for army gear
for camping etc, but haven't seen one in years.

I don't think the government has much "surplus" anymore.

There is still a few around my area.  Privately owned.   They buy up surplus and resell.
Only one is a true surplus store.  Almost expired MRE's, old blankets, uniforms (new but outdated) and a ton of bags, tools like trench shovels.....from military around the world.

The rest, around here, are more survivalist/camping/gun stores.   Most of the stuff looks military but is aftermarket.

The holidays are always good for those seldom used kitchen items.
Fish poachers and roasting pans.  Fancy platters and carving sets. Cheese trays/cutters.

Not that they bring big bucks but at least they sell.   I can't give away those inexpensive steel fish poachers except right at beginning of salmon season and the holidays......
