Still trying to figure out MovieMans way I see~ :D

You have to have your pics hosted somewhere online (mine are at the Kodak Gallery).  Open both windows.  Click on the 2nd icon, lower left above (the one that looks like a pic).  You should then see two sets of bracketed letters (img).  Open the picture then right click on it.  You'll have numerous options.  Click 'view image info' and you should be given a link.  Right click that link and copy it.  Insert that between the brackets and it should show up.

Wow!!  that sounds as confusing as MovieMans instructions....... :-\

Good luck~

Made me laugh. But you are right just as confusing...

Not really just need a better host than I was using.  ;)

Then it is done.   ;D

Now on too the current scene.....I totally agree about the shows...seems the worst has been brought out in folks in the way of behavior, and I guess what galls me the most is that Auctioneers are "supposed" to abide by a code of ethics and hearing stories of those that do not really pisses me off because it gives the rest of us a bad name....you know, they see something bad and tell 2 people and each of them tells 2 people etc...and as it goes along the story get worse and worse.

I can see your side of that. I have overheard people blame the auction company for bad managers. But be assured that most of the regulars and noobies with common scenes know the difference, and the bad Auctioneers will be gone and you will survive.

On the flip side some buyers turn off the facility so they no longer hold auctions. (Florida can post dispose of).  And that pisses me off.  ;)

Looks like the piano stool on ebay.

I would not recover it. Leave it the way it is. Could take it to the sale this weekend and ask what ever the price is at when you go... Might get a bite.  I have an old Victorian ladies chair (well it is my Aunts) price $75 have not sold it but had a lot of lookers they stopped.  ;)

Kinda like that missing the wheels.

Maybe I should put it on ebay...  :o  Yeah right. LOL

Oh you might need to send me a note on  how you posted your pictures...  ::)

The glass in ours has some chips and checks, but still.....I LOVE it!

Too funny...when I first read about your runway light I imagined something either a fashion show runway or that of a scantily clad young thing at a club designed for "gentlemen" !

So did I MovieMan too funny.

Keep it Rockin it is cool, but red could lead to other thoughts..... LOL

Well after looking at your website I am on the side of Alloro and MovieMan.

But if it is a true blue auction advertise on CL under the items you have.

Classified ads.

Are you hiring an auctioneer?  If so he will advertise it.

Good luck.

Been to several auctions here in Fl. with cars.

When an auction company running sale they usually have the paper work for re title, or know for sure that it can't be titled.

Privately run auctions parts only. Will have to ask my husband some kind of clause you can file, can't remember what it is called. Will post when I get his answer.

Saw one sold with a complete van, and a lot of other parts, Sold as parts only, a few of the regulars knew how to title the the van.  (Sorry Alzheimer moment)

Mostly when they say parts only they just don't want to deal with the paper work, they do have to check and make sure their our no bank liens.
It does take time so you have to be willing to sit on it while you do the paper work.

I had a couple drive 150 miles for a $25 chest of drawers.

Had a lady drive about 15 miles and was pissed off. Got out of her Lincoln navigator, saying I can't believe anybody would drive out here. Looked at the table said not sure how I could get it home. I am not driving out here again !! I said do your seats fold down it will fit in your car. Buyer I can't move it. !!!!

Will you take $85 (asking $125).

NO !!!!!!!!

Need the sale but will burn it before selling to her.

Answer to thread question YES.....

Update:   Will have to eat my words. She called back and asked if we could deliver for the $125.
Less than 5 miles away so sure. LOL   ::)

Think of it was a cover charge like at a bar, that's refundable upon the purchase of a unit.

So if I purchase a beer do I get my cover charge back?

 ;)

Picker's Paradise / Re: Local Goodwill auction~verrry interesting~
« on: April 08, 2012, 05:26:54 AM »

My wife and I went once and will go again, but it was a little scary. When they bring out new bins, people will line up like black friday and jump in like pigs at the trough. They start digging in, throwing things around and you just hear the stuff breaking. The ultimate commentary for me was when I realized how many of these people were wearing gloves!!!

There are ultimate bargains to be had, but be prepared!! If you thought storage auctions were competetive... at least you don't worry about catching an accidental elbow!!

;D Forgot about that but you are right, get out of the way when the new bins come out. LOL

I looked it up a few months ago, Don't think I found one locally.

We have a regular store and a bulk store, Large bins that you dig through (have not been in a while).

Will have to look into again.
