HAHA!

You don't know what it's like to walk in her shoe.

She would have paid her bill, but she got off on the wrong foot.

She wasn't able to get a foothold on her bill.

When she was pressured to pay her bill, she got cold foot.

She's trying real hard to find a job. She just wants to get a foot in the door.

She would take any job, she just wants to get her foot wet.

I heard she went toe to toe with the property manager.

During the argument, she said some things that she shouldn't have. She really put her foot in her mouth.

I'm sure she'll be okay. Everything will work out. She'll land on her foot.

After all, this may all be a big joke. Way to pull our leg, Travis!

...........and I'm done..

You may not want to see her.. The last thing you need is for her to fall head over heel in love with you..

To be honest, if she didn't drag her foot, she wouldn't be in this situation to begin with!

Thanks!

I know it's tough losing some of your belongings in a locker, but sometimes you have to look at the situation, and get back up on your foot.

eBay / Insurance Claims on Ebay
« on: November 05, 2013, 04:45:01 PM »
So I shipped something and it broke. I got insurance on it, but...

Who is responsible to file the claim through USPS? Is it the seller or buyer?

I'm reading where USPS may want the product back before issuing a refund. I'm not sure how I can do that when the item has been shipped.

Faithful Ebayers, what to do?

Lots of silver, Asian vases.. Maybe she was a pirate! You must have her sea leg!

Go Kart frame looks to be in good shape. I think I see parts of an engine there too. If it's all there, could go a long way to paying for the locker. At $970, definitely not much money to be made, but it's not terribly hard to empty and sort.

Lots of plane stuff means this guy was into it, could be more than meets the eye there..

For the store, I won a few pieces of collectible Christmas village from Department 56 and Mr. Christmas (who knew there was a Mr. Christmas!?). I'm going to display and after Dec 1. put up on ebay. Exterior of the store is getting lights. I have a tree outside, gonna light it up. Other than that, just make sure that everything is orderly and priced at all times. May hire a temp employee for mid-Nov. - Jan. 1.

The saying that most applies to this business, and to those who are successful in it, in my opinion, is.. "A quick nickel is better than a slow dime." Whether you're at a flea market, on craigslist, in a store, or doing yard sales, the trick is to constantly have new inventory. Sitting on stuff to maximize your profit will sink you in the end.

Garage Sales / Re: Garage Sale at Storage Facility - For Tenants & Vendors
« on: November 05, 2013, 11:09:14 AM »
Around these parts, these types of sales go largely unnoticed. About all the advertising you'll get from management is a little yard sign in front of the facility.. That is, if they do as they do out here. For guys like us, it's a great way to get inventory on the cheap! Most people who participate just want to empty out the unit so that they can move out of storage. If I were you, I'd bring someone to stand post at your stuff, so that you can go out and pick the others!

Sports memorabilia is always up and down. Willie McCovey was a great player, but he's not terribly in demand. I wouldn't count on it appreciating that much over time. Right now, I'm not in a position to hold onto anything for appreciation. If I have it, I've gotta sell it!

Glassware for me takes forever! I keep my shelves filled with it, it sits there and stagnates. I pack up bin after bin and take it to the flea market, just to pack up the same bin and bring them home.

I can tell you from recent personal experience that job postings in Raleigh are free.
