Now I am really thankful we only have antenna TV.    ;D

But maybe it will draw some of the noobies away from the storage auctions.

( I know but I can dream can't I ).

A lot of cancellations. Good grief.

Glad you had fun. sounds like a really nice unit. been a long time sense anyone has posted about a really good one like that.

what did it go for ?

What I love is the dates took that long to realize the items were missing. Almost two weeks.

Alias think you are right some kind of scam.

I can only imagine in your area. Sure it gets nuts.  It is just nuts to drive down there. LOL  ;)

Wasn't trying to discourage you just give you some info.

Heard of some north of you not to bad, haven't ventured to them.

Have fun and keep us posted on the crowds and prices.

Tried it. Lol.had about 7 postings tht had nothing to do with storage auctions and only one that did and I already knew about it and planned on going tomorrow anyways lol. Whatever. Haha I don't plan on using it to find them. Ill use credible services

The problem is not using Cl for finding auctions it is that noobies or somebody just going for fun, find them hence making the crowds larger.
Which usually means higher prices. And a longer day.

And I just put in auction. for the search  ;)

All I was saying.

Think Floydysims fell off.  ::)

Legacy is good at least in our extended area don't do locally for us.

Hammer down pretty good too. Does most of ours locally Kate is good. Only problem an auction site list auctions on CL and when you go to there site they list auction and a link to hammer downs, so crowds big. Actually think the link is gone but list there action company.

With the extra crowds things start getting behind on the caravan. Last time we saw Kate she was not thrilled with the crowds she knew it was going to be a long day.

She is good at handling the crazy noobies too.

Why we have backed off some plus too much inventory right now.

Good luck.

yeah I know we could make it work the 1100 sq'. But we have seen the thrift we use run out of space and when it gets really packed less sales. Plus would have to work harder to get it in there. LOL

The one we looked at had a false wall which I liked gave a space for sorting and cleaning but really cut the actually selling space by a lot. Guy said there was room in the back to put a storage shed if we needed it.

Too have nightmares of our business we grew so fast had to move our steel shop 4 times, what a nightmare.  ;)

So in a holding pattern with the auctions the way they are and personal obligations.

Not much to report .... got a couple of auctions coming up mid week, but supposed to be pouring rain, and if crowds are still big, what's the point of going.

More and more of the regular buyers in my area are foregoing auctions altogether until crowds go down a bit. People are buying 1 a month (and paying for it) rather than wasting time going to over-crowded auctions, wasting time and not buying any.

SOMEDAY, the crowds have to start getting smaller, but when that is, is anyone's guess.

****
Meanwhile, did well at flea on Sat the 10th and bought some good tools on Sunday the 11th which should do well on eBay. Picking still doing well for me.

Same here nothing to report, plus with a slow in our sales at the thrift still inventory rich  ::) of the larger items. Picked up a few things at the monthly equipment auction, a lot of dealers there buying also so guess still rough at the storage auctions.

"SOMEDAY, the crowds have to start getting smaller, but when that is, is anyone's guess."

posted on another thread the noobies still hitting hard thanks to the shows.  ::)

pushing a flatbed cart and watching the top tote fall off and being able to do nothing about it , sucks more when it was full of glass

Yes that would suck. Are you having a bad week?  Slow down have an adult beverage and relax.

We had two bad weeks so it will pass.  ;)

Oh. And that dirty a** bag? After hit'n it with engine degreaser and 300 degree pressure washer.....still threw it away!!   ;D

Sure the pressure washer did not help that. LOL

Glad you did well. Real nice return. I will remember this if we come across anything like this, to remind my husband of the $$$$$. LOL

Question #1 Depends on how fast you want a return on your money, and how much.
#2 Ask the person you have an appointment with if he can recommend someone.
              # Not sure on that one.

Sure someone on here can give you some more answers.

Good luck.

Sam sounds good.

Glad you found a space at the antique mall for a reasonable price. We have same problem, of if too far away how well will be at keeping it fresh. But if the sales are good think it will be fairly easy.

On the commercial good luck with that, sounds like you can get it for a reasonable price. There is a guy in our town only open on weekend, he advertises on CL, and post if he is going to be there in the week.

"Will be open today Tuesday"

Guess it works for him.

The commercial property we looked at (two) is in a strip and both locations have a hair salon and restaurant, ect. One has a liquor store, only one in the town.

But after looking the 1100 sq' not big enough, priced right but once you put a sofa and chair no more space.  ;)

We looked at a 2500 sq' place would really work and the price was reasonable but can't pull it off with this equipment. LOL   Too big to start but the other to small. We are waiting on our idea.

Good luck and keep us updated on how it is going.

No Jury Duty for me  ;D We were not released until 5:30 PM.  ::)

Met a very nice lady she is a bus driver for middle and high school kids. (hats off to her). She wants to to do storage wars. LOL She brought it up so told her we did it. So she quoted the show. So told her This is Not California. We talked briefly about it. She was not pushy for info.  :o

Well Craig sounds like a good day. yes we are in need of the man stuff too. Swimsuit season is coming so men might be getting in trouble with their wife / girlfriend,  and she sells his stuff.  ;D but in the south we just burn it.  ;)

Another theory on the clothes at the Flea customers may not be in the mood to buy clothes takes time to look. But if you have some every week then they will come prepared of I want to shop in his clothes.

There are always clothes at a yard sale.

Oh and the funny for yesterday, took the lunch break and ran to the vets across town to get the dogs Flea pill. On way back went to turn into McDonald's for a burger and the whole building was gone!!!!!!

Wished I had a picture of my face... The McDonald's has been there for over 40 years. LOL

Need to get out more.
