Hey Cheesehead~ran like heck from a locker today as the door opened and there was a Packers Favre jersey staring me in the eye~

We Vikes fans want nothin' to do with that~ ;D

WHAT!!!??  Brett was one of the BEST quarterbacks in Vikings history!! ::)  (Right behind Brad Johnson, Sean Salibury, Steve Dils, and Gary Cuozzo!!)  Besides, in WI that jersey would have sold for...oh...a buck-and-a-half.

Who's jersey were you expecting?  Fran Tarkenton?   ;D ;D

AND....it's a very good sign for buyers that after that lock has been cut 4 times that the frm owner had lots of opportunities to take out the GOOD stuff.

I followed one of these guys through 3 cycles. The first time it came up the mgr told me (because we are on good terms) that it had multiple Snap-On toolboxes in it. He paid up once, twice....third time it came up for auction.

Pop the door...nothing but the usual crapola !

It will be interesting to run that test this weekend - either her locker won't be up for auction and I'll be Oh-for-four (in baseball terms - the "collar" >:()- or I will be looking for multiple cut locks and seeing what treasures lie behind the golden door......

Darryl needs to pull his head out of his ass. All that crying last episode over how Brandon was going to throw out stuff that was soooooooo valuable. As I recall some time back in an episode when they went to Darryl's house, he told the story of one of his first auction wins. It was for a ton of sports memorabilia. In his haste to make a quick buck he sold it off in a lot to someone for like $10K or so. In hindsight he tells us that if he took his time and sold it properly, he would've cleared over $100K on everything. So in my book that makes Darryl a screw-up to the tune of over 100 times that of Brandon.

Yep, he claimed to have one of the largest comic book collections in the world....and sold it for pennies on the dollar......that's a lot of lost "poop"!!   :P :P

Hitting an auction this weekend at a facility where two tenants have now been listed FOUR TIMES in the classifieds as having their lockers auctioned off.  Wow, that's a lot of last-minute scrambling.

You'd think they'd get sick of the horse-hockey and either move out or default - and not have to fight with the facility constantly.  Hello..... ??? ???....it's a pretty good sign you can't afford the locker if you name keeps showing up in the Legal Notices.......

New episodes air Tuesday night - and since Darryl and Brandon are "kapoop" - looks like there will be an opening on Team Sheets.   Wonder who will apply for that gig!!??  8) 8)

What he has noticed is the locksmith, who goes and changes the lock on the home gets first dibs on visible goods.

Dang it, I knew I should have gone to school to become a locksmith instead of a nuclear physicist...... :P :P

Also, good luck if you decide to go the restoration route - sound like a lot of opportunity....and a lot of work!! ;)

Well, the string of facilities with "low quality" lockers continued in my area today.  The good news is the crowd was down, only about 8 bidders, but the units were not good.  Mostly garbage bags, broken furniture, and empty boxes.  (Hey, at least they weren't staged!!   ::))  Six lockers up for bid, with prices ranging from $5 -$275 - with one locker not getting a bid.  Most expensive unit had a nice desk, several bins, a couple old tools, and three worn mattresses - and the winning bidder has an auction house, so they were happy to get it.

Bad thing is the low quality has also spilled over to my local garage sales.  Went picking after the auction, and stuff was either junk, or anything good was priced at ABOVE retail.  No joke, I went to about 10-12 places and people were really in love with their stuff.  For instance, found a really nice coffee table-size Beatles Anthology book - priced at $60 on the dust cover and priced at $75 by the seller!!  And it was beat up a little!  I offered her $10 and she laughed - said if was a collector's item that was selling for over $100 on eBay.......last time I checked we weren't on eBay, we were in your driveway........and so it went......

($100.....$30......hey, she was close!!)   :P

Well......
My father told my uncle that I'd be down and suddenly my cousin is living at the house.
So now can't hold estate sale.  Not going to pick it if I can't sell the big ticket items.   >:(

Sorry to hear that.  I'm never one to condone violence, but are you bigger than your cousin!!??  ;)

Seriously, I feel your pain.  My wife's Grandma died about 15 years ago, and Grandpa was actually a Step-Grandpa.  He let his two kids from a previous marraige come in ON THE DAY SHE DIED and clean the place out.  My wife's family history was sold at a garage sale that next weekend (as we found out later).  It wasn't so much the stuff, but the old B&W family photos, etc.  Photos of great-great grandparents are now hanging in some random dude's house.......

You may not be able to have a sale, but maybe pick a few nostalgic items before they "magically disappear" forever......good luck, it will probably all work out.

This show is now total "cornball."  What's the deal with Barry sucking down raw eggs.... ??? ???  And Darryl saying he was ditching his son......over and over and over again...... ::)  They seem to be starting to focus on the personal drama just as much as the actual auctions.

Also, was it just me, or is Dave Hester using a different intonation of "YUUUUP."  He said it about three or four different ways - but not the same way as season one or two.  Wonder if the lawsuit has anything to do with that.

Also see that Jarrod and Brandi's guy Mark is gone - the new helpers are some older guy with a ponytail and a young dude.

Come ride the little train that is rolling down the tracks to the junction.
Petticoat Junction
Forget about your cares, it is time to relax at the junction.....

lol.  ;D

Glad to oblige!!

"It is run by Kate, come and be her guest, at the Junction.  And there's Uncle Joe, he's a big cranky schmoe, at the Junction..."  (or something like that!! :D)

Arkansas Sports Petrino golf gear for sale at Goodwill

GOING, GOING: Bobby Petrino luggage and golf bags at Springdale Goodwill.

Former Razorback football coach Bobby Petrino is in the midst of a clearance of Arkansas property, including his home and lake house.  Petrino apparently turned to a good cause for house cleaning.

The set of personalized luggage sold over the weekend. But two sets of golf clubs, in personalized bags, remain on offer. Goodwill will accept bids for them through June 16. Starting price for each is a suggested $150. One bid may be made by phone. But subsequent bids must be made in the store.

An Atlanta Falcon jacket, from Petrino's brief run as head coach there, is also up for bid in the $15 to $20 range. And he has some other personal items apparently to be put into the Goodwill retail stream in a few weeks.

(the piece by piece auction I went to was also a bust...didn't bid on a thing.)  ???

And alab is laughing............somewhere..... :P

Sorry to hear the lockers were junky - seems to be the trend lately - my last five facilities have been, how you say, "less than spectacular."
