Asked around a bit on the Nutone.  Mainly cause I'd like one in my garage.
Now, no one I talked to has one so these are not documented answers....just opinions and "I think...."

So, first off, the unit itself it relatively inexpensive.  $300-$1200 for home use.  (Can be thousands for commercial ones, hotels, resturants....)

The one pictured seems to be a really old model.

They really make money on the install and don't really install in already built homes. (They will, but its spendy.  Have to cut into walls, re-drywall......).

So who will buy this unit when they can get a brand new one at almost cost and still have to pay for install?

Auto shops/Detail/autobody.  Cabnet makers/woodworkers.  People like that.
Rather than lug vacuume around you buy long hose.

So there is your market but what to sell for?      My hope was to I've you good news but seems you can buy complete units with 110v plug in, accessories, wall mount......$230.  Sorry, I think Alloro nailed it at $50-$100.

Yeah, doesn't seem to be worth much.  Can get new for $350.  Don't know the size of the $350 one. Looks smaller but may be new deign...better.    I don't know anything about these.

The bins?   They remain property of Cintas.

Cintas being a commercial supplier of.....everything!   Uniforms.  Entry mats. urinal cakes. paper products......and document shredding services.

That's what you get for buying into the iJunk hype. :P

I tried out couple tablets before going with the ipad.  It was the best.

Even my brother, a total techy, that hates Apple products broke down, dumped his Samsung and got an ipad.

I will admit they are getting better and I'm not sure ill stick with the ipad when I get a new tablet.
But for now I think it's he best of the market.......

I've had an account.  But in order to post pics from ipad  you had to use an app.
App required email verification to post.

CL finally got it so you could post pics from ipad library but still had to email verify.

Now it's all just like on a PC.

IMO it's even easier than PC.

One cool feature is instant pictures.  When you get to image upload you just take the picture then and it inserts it......or I assume.  Haven't used it yet.

I've always found "When I doubt, don't call the cops".   It's just a pain and they don't/can't do anything anyway.

You KNOW when you need to call the police.

First off, let me apologize for my last post.  Didnt proof read.  Autocorrect sucks.

Now....

Don't know the market there but here the wallets wouldn't sell.  At all.   Ive tried.
Might at garage sale or swap for $5.

Even if real, they are just to beat up.
And the outlet sells past edition coach wallets for $40-100.  Checkbook covers for $30-$60 (and who has check books these days?)

I'm still skeptical since the LV doesn't have a "made in" stamp.

If they sell be sure to let us know and how much.

"Authentic" wallets?       Those look like knock offs in the picture.  Not saying they are.  But from pics they look fake.   Especially the coach.    Hard to tell in peron sometimes let alone pictures but seem off to me.

Are you sure they are real?

On the LV the markings don't look denied enough (could be pic) and off center.
Inside doesn't have stamp and the heart shape cut out should be lined.

Stitching on both look off but could be extreme wear.  But coach leather looks like its cracking.  Don't see that in coach but could also be wear.

The coach "C's" actually don't look to far off but the big end doesn't look crisp enough.

And I've never seen a coach wallet lined with "coach" in drivers licence area.   But I haven't delt in many wallets so old be wrong.

Heck, I might be wrong all together but just o many little 'hmmmm's".

But I want the 3-piece set.   I've always wanted my living room to look like a 1800's whore house!   ;D

No, really.  I like those and and the other set.  Those should sell for that price easy.  At least would here.....

I don't know.   I put in 10-15hrs/wk of actual time.  Another 10 or so a week of researching/posting while I'm watching TV in bed.....and I don't make $1000/month on a *constant* basis.

I do way better picking these days.  Less gas, no truck rentals, no dump fee's.

Would you need to rent trucks?  Do you have storage?  Do you have experience researching or know how to estimate value on multiple lines of merchandise?  Do ou have the capital to put out if a really good locker come up?

Picker's Paradise / Re: Picking at estate sales

Did well picking estates today....

Old Italian, hand crank, pasta maker for $6.
Few high end camera  tripods for $5/ea.
Camera lens cases, filters, misc parts for $3.
Makita Router for $15
Hoover carpet cleaner for $12.50

Think the only hard sell is camera stuff.  Not sure if its sought after but they threw it in for $3.   Worth the gamble.

Looking at a few hundred profit, fresh pasta and clean carpets.   I mean, I gotta make sure the stuff works, right?

What's it Worth?? / Milk Glass
« on: April 10, 2013, 03:48:05 PM »
Has anyone had luck selling Milk Glass items?
I have a spot selling some dirt cheap. I've sold a few pieces in the past but its been wierd/exotic/haven't seen around kind of stuff.

Milk Glass is listed all over etsy at decent prices.  But doesn't look like much is selling.  Kind of wondering if its all over because there is a good market for it or all over because there is a ton out there and no one wants to buy it......

This is what I can get for $1/ea.

etsy.com/listing/128194950/milk-glass-snack-set-indiana-glass?utm_source=google&utm_medium=product_listing_promoted&utm_campaign=vintage_low&gclid=CJT2mIr6wLYCFYuDQgodayQADg

Don't know if its worth the risk to make $20-$30

As long as you hold them often so they know you, they will crawl around on you for awhile then just sit there as you with TV or whatever.

If you don't play with them everyday......forget it.   Out of cage?  They just naturally go into food hunting mode.   No interest in you.

That's fun too.   Hide food and watch them try to figure out how to get it.
